2022 El Mago Organic Garnacha, Massard

Silky, vibrant Garnacha from northern Spain, perfumed with liquorice, roasted herbs and spices, followed by a satisfying mouthful of blackcurrant, cherry and smoked meat.

Franck Massard knows good wine. Voted the UK's top somellier in 1996 and later moving from wine serving to wine making, he learnt his trade with the Torres family before starting his own venture in Priorat in 2004. Franck believes all good wine starts in the vineyard and as such he devotes huge amounts of time to making sure the vines are in balance with the local ecosystem, employing organic viticulture and caring meticulously to ensure good biodiversity.
